Announcement | CRC Press to Publish: ICIT Securing the Nation

ABOUT CRC PRESS

CRC Press, a division of Taylor & Francis, which is owned by Informa, one of the largest publishing and content groups in the world, has picked up the publishing rights to Securing the Nation’s Critical Infrastructures: A Guide for the 2021-2025 Administration. CRC Press publishes over 7,000 new books each year and maintains a backlist of around 145,000 titles, with specialties in Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM content.

ABOUT THE GUIDE

The Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT) collaborated with cybersecurity, technology, and national security experts to develop an interdisciplinary publication that will help guide the 2021-2025 Presidential Administration in the prioritization of information security across the 16 critical infrastructure sectors, election security, and local and state government resiliency. Contributors represent public sector, critical infrastructure, technology, and academic communities.

This peer-reviewed compilation of perspective essays will be published as a print and an eBook and will help guide public and private sector critical infrastructure cybersecurity for the next four years. A copy of the guide will be shared with incoming administration officials, all members of congress, and key federal agency stakeholders.

The book will contain one chapter for each of the seventeen critical infrastructure sectors (including election security). Each chapter will be comprised of a foreword and 2-3 perspective essays.

The State of the Sector (challenges, threats, etc.)
Emerging Areas for Innovation
Recommendations for the (2021-2025) Cybersecurity Landscape

This guide was inspired by the call for a whole of nation response to cyber threats. Our hope is that the insights it contains will be used by our nation’s leaders to improve critical infrastructure resiliency and strengthen our national security.

– Parham Eftekhari, Founder & Chairman, ICIT and Executive Director, The Cybersecurity Collaborative

As a cybersecurity thought leader and think tank, I believe it is incumbent upon ICIT to leverage our Fellows and partnerships to publish this compilation of subject matter experts’ essays which share grass roots and executive level recommendations to the current administration. The evolutionary process of cybersecurity depends upon the hyperconvergence of Cyber Dependencies, People, Processes, and Technology. Rather than fearing or ignoring cyber-attacks, this document will help ensure the nations cyber resilience against compromise.

– Joyce Hunter, ICIT Executive Director
